Privacy Policy

This policy explains what converting ugc (the United Kingdom) collects when you use convertingugc.tech, why, and who else sees it. It is written to match what the product actually does; if the product changes, this page changes with it.
What we collect
Your account
Your email address, a hashed password, your display name, and your credit balance. We never store your password itself — only a hash that cannot be turned back into it.
You can look around and build a clip before you give us anything: the tour creates a temporary account with a made-up address, and it becomes a real one only when you choose to sign up.
What you upload and make
Photos of your product, the lines you write for the actor to say, your choice of actor, voice and format, and the videos we produce from them. We keep these so you can come back to your work.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded and gives us a reference for it; that is all we keep. Stripe's own privacy notice covers what they collect: stripe.com/privacy.
Technical records
Ordinary server logs — addresses requested, times, error messages — kept so we can find out why something broke. We do not sell anything about you to anyone.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to see which pages people open and where they stop, and Google Ads to know which advert brought someone who ended up paying. Both set cookies in your browser and receive your device and browser details, the pages you open here, and an identifier that is not your name.
When a payment goes through we tell Google Ads that a purchase happened and how much it was.
We never tell them who made it: not your email address, not your uploads, not the videos you make.
You can stop this: Google's opt-out add-on blocks it across every site, and a browser set to refuse third-party cookies blocks it here. Nothing else on this page depends on it — the product works the same either way.
Session recordings
We use Microsoft Clarity to record what happens on the page: where the pointer moves, how far you scroll, what you click. It helps us find the places where the product is confusing — a step where people stop, a button nobody presses.
The recording is of the page, not of you. Microsoft Clarity masks what you type: text in fields, email addresses and passwords are replaced before the recording leaves your browser, and we never see them. We do not record your camera, your microphone or your screen outside this site.
You can stop it with a browser set to refuse third-party cookies, or with any tracker blocker. Nothing here depends on it — the product works the same either way.
Who else sees it
Making a video means sending parts of your work to the companies whose models do it. We use them as processors: they act on our instructions and for this purpose only.
- fal.ai — video generation, lip sync and editing. Receives your product photo, the composed first frame, sample clips and the generated audio.
- OpenRouter (and through it Google's image models) — draws the frames and writes the first draft of your line. Receives your product photo and the text you wrote.
- ElevenLabs — turns your line into speech. Receives the text of that line and the chosen voice.
- Stripe — payments, as above.
We do not send them your email address, your password or your payment details.
Where it is kept and for how long
On our own server, in Europe. Your account and your files stay until you ask us to delete them. Ask, and we delete the account, the uploads and the videos — within 30 days, and usually the same day.
Some traces survive that deletion because they must: payment records Stripe is required to keep, and server logs, which roll over on their own within 90 days.
What you can ask for
Write to ynartyom@gmail.com and ask us to:
- show you what we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it, along with your account;
- send you a copy of what you uploaded and made;
- stop using it for anything you did not ask for.
We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or the UK, these are your rights under the GDPR, and you may also complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
The product is not for people under 16, and we do not knowingly keep anything about them. Tell us if we have, and it goes.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects what we do with what you have already given us, we write to you before it takes effect.
